Music Courses
Chinese instrumental music online and in-person classes
- 17 April to 7 July 2023
The UK Chinese Music Ensemble and the London Youlan Qin Society present courses on Chinese instrumental music by expert musicians and teachers. This time classes will be available both online via Zoom and in person at the Fo Guang Shan Temple. The Temple is a quiet Pure Land in the busy heart of London in a Grade Two listed building. Since 1992, it has been a major venue for Buddhist practice and cultural activities. It is a perfect environment for qin music practice. We are also offering calligraphy beginners' classes.
Group course fees 乐器小组课
11 weekly group lessons(小组课):
All beginner group classes 初级 £242 @ £22/hour
Intermediate/advanced 中/高级 £275 @ £25/hour

Fees include teaching materials. A limited number of instruments are available for sale and hire.

One-to-one classes 乐器一对一课程
One-to-one classes at all levels are available on enquiry, with flexible teaching times, on instruments including guqin, pipa, erhu, yangqin, guzheng, dizi/xiao and hulusi, please contact us for details.

Level 3 up: from £495 @ £45/hour;

Calligraphy classes 书法课（小组或一对一课程）
6 weekly group calligraphy classes (书法小组课): £132 @ £22/hour;
